Who we are

2checkingout is a personal travel website run by Steve and Julie from Nelson, New Zealand. You can reach us at steveandjulie@2checkingout.com.

What we collect

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people read and roughly where in the world they are. It is aggregated. We cannot identify you from it.
• Comments. If you leave a comment we store the name, email address and comment you submit, along with your IP address, to help spot spam.
• Email. If you write to us we keep the email so we can reply.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them for analytics and, where advertising is shown, for ad delivery and measurement. You are asked to consent before any non-essential cookie is set, and you can change your mind at any time using the consent controls on the site.

Advertising

This site may display advertising served by third party networks. Those networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Who we share with

Nobody, other than the service providers that make the site work: our host, our analytics provider, our email provider and any advertising partner. We do not sell personal information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email us and we will do it. If you are in the EU or UK this is your right under GDPR. If you are in California it is your right under the CCPA.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top.
